How to Bounce Individual Drummer Kit Tracks with Auto-Bounce

Modified on Tue, 19 Aug at 10:44 AM

Note: This process only applies to Logic’s Drummer Producer Kits. If you’re using regular MIDI drum tracks, no extra steps are needed.

Logic’s Drummer Producer Kits are built as a single combined track, which means Auto-Bounce sees them as one instrument. To bounce the individual kit pieces (kick, snare, hi-hat, etc.), you’ll first need to split the performance into separate tracks.

The good news: it only takes two quick steps.

Step 1

Right-click on the Drummer region and choose Convert to MIDI Track.

Step 2

Right-click on the newly created MIDI region and choose Separate by Note Pitch.

Once done, each drum element will appear on its own track, and Auto-Bounce can automatically bounce them just like any other sub-tracks in your project.

Tip: This is the fastest way to get clean, individual stems from Logic’s Drummer kits without manually soloing or exporting each part.
