If you’re finding that every stem appears in every bounce, it usually means Auto-Bounce can’t correctly identify which track is meant to be bounced. This issue can be triggered by a few different setup conditions.
Please review the following checklist to resolve the issue:
⚠️ Common Causes
Multiple Tracks Selected Before Bouncing
Only one track (or one track stack) should be selected before launching Auto-Bounce.
✅ Deselect all other tracks before opening the app.
Keyboard Maestro is Running
Some users have reported interference from Keyboard Maestro macros.
✅ Quit Keyboard Maestro before launching Auto-Bounce.
Missing or Incorrect Key Commands
Auto-Bounce depends on a few required Logic key commands to function properly.
✅ Follow the setup instructions below to ensure they are configured correctly.
Using Logic Pro 11.0
The original release of Logic Pro 11 (version 11.0) has compatibility issues.
✅ Update Logic to version 11.0.1 or later.
Multiple Logic Windows Open on Different Screens
In rare cases, having multiple floating Logic windows open across screens can interfere with selection.
✅ Try closing extra windows or using a dedicated screenset for running Auto-Bounce.
Fixing Key Command Setup
Auto-Bounce relies on specific Logic Pro key commands to navigate and select tracks correctly. If these aren’t properly mapped, you may see incorrect bounce results.
You have two options for setting this up:
Option 1: Manually Copy Your Key Commands into Auto-Bounce
You can paste your existing Logic key commands into Auto-Bounce so they match your current Logic setup.
✅ To do this:
Right-click (or Option-click) on each key command field in Auto-Bounce
Choose Copy from Logic
Then Paste into Auto-Bounce
Option 2: Import the Provided Auto-Bounce Key Command File into Logic
We’ve included a ready-to-use Logic Key Command file that matches Auto-Bounce’s default setup.
You’ll find it here:
/Applications/Auto-Bounce/Logic Key Command Files/
✅ To use it:
Open Logic Pro > Key Commands > Edit
Import the Auto-Bounce key command file
Then confirm that all required commands work by testing them directly in Logic before using Auto-Bounce
✅ Final Step: Test Your Key Commands
After updating your key commands in both Logic and Auto-Bounce, we recommend testing each required command in Logic manually. Make sure they respond correctly before launching Auto-Bounce.
