How to using Auto-Bounce with Sidechains

Modified on Tue, 19 Aug at 9:55 AM

When bouncing stems that use sidechain compression, you’ll want to make sure your sidechain relationships stay intact. Auto-Bounce makes this possible using Track Locking.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Identify the sidechain source (e.g., kick drum) and the track(s) that depend on it (e.g., bass, pads, etc.).

  2. In Auto-Bounce, lock the sidechain source so that it remains active during all related bounces.

  3. This ensures that every stem using that sidechain will sound exactly as intended—just like in your mix.

? For more details, see the Track Locking section in the [Auto-Bounce User Manual].
